We would like to invite you to the annual conference “Poles on the Nile,” which presents Polish archaeological research in the Nile Valley, and will be held on June 9–11, 2025, in a hybrid format (venue: University of Warsaw, Faculty of Archaeology, Room 212, and via Zoom). The event is co-organised by the Department of Egyptian and Nubian Archaeology at the Faculty of Archaeology and the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, both at the University of Warsaw.
As in previous years, the conference will feature presentations of the latest research results from Polish archaeological projects working in Egypt and Sudan — this time also including Ethiopia and Tanzania. Recently defended PhD and habilitation theses will also be presented, as is tradition. For the first time this year, master’s theses will also be presented in the form of posters. All presentations will be delivered in English.
Registration for remote participants will take place through the conference website www.polacynadnilem.uw.edu.pl.
The conference program will also be made available there soon.
