As the war in Sudan continues in its 4th year, Sudan’s curators, conservators, and archaeologists are being asked to return to Khartoum in order to assess damage to museums and to begin the process of repairing damage and restoring Sudan’s heritage.
Unfortunately, they are returning to apartments and houses that were extensively damaged and looted during the occupation of Khartoum by the Rapid Support Forces (2023-25). They have no furniture left and in many cases windows are broken and electrical wires have been stripped from the walls. With their modest salaries, it is an extreme hardship for them.
Please help us support these professionals (over 100 people) rebuild their lives as they work to protect Sudan’s heritage.
Donations will go to the American Sudanese Archaeological Research Center. AmSARC is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in the state of California and has been accorded tax-exempt status by the United States Internal Revenue Service.
A member of the AmSARC community is generously facilitating a 2:1 match for the first $3,000 in donations. Don’t miss this opportunity to triple your impact!
