Conference “Poles on the Nile”

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The annual conference “Poles on the Nile” presenting the Polish archaeological research in Egypt and Sudan will be held on June 21st-23rd 2023 in a hybrid mode (venue: Faculty of Archaeology, University of Warsaw, Room 210, and via Zoom). The event is co-organized by the Department of Egyptian and Nubian Archaeology, Faculty of Archaeology, University of Warsaw and the Department of African Studies, Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology, University of Warsaw.

Over the three days, a total of 30 papers will present the most recent research and fieldwork results. For the first time, the conference language will be English.

Guest lecture: Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, 6 pm CEST (UTC +2)
